If SIMPLY FABULICIOUS was personified, she would be your best friend, the one whom you’ll go out for an afternoon of shopping with, who will share with you her new discoveries and finds, tell you a couple of cheeky secrets, make you laugh and laugh with you, sound you off on the many aspects of her life – from kids to secret trysts to travel – from the serious to the light hearted. She is ultimately someone whom you have plenty in common with, and is supremely comfortable with.

The Simply Fab Team - behind the scenes is: 

Elaine Yeoh, 41, is a PR and Retail Marketing professional who is taking a short sabbatical from the daily grind whilst living in Hong Kong with her husband and precocious three and the half year old daughter. Stressed only by the lack of space both personal and physical (as compared to Singapore), she now has much more time to think, reflect and count her blessings in so many other ways. As such, Elaine is grateful for the changes in perspective and lifestyle that this move to Hong Kong has brought her. She has always loved communicating and believes that her many day to day realisations and discoveries should not be random, buried and lost but instead happily shared and celebrated...and hence the evolution of this blog: to embrace the ups and downs and grasp every moment as a simply fabulicious experience to be shared with grace and much gusto!

Sim Ee Waun has been a food writer for a hair's breath short of 20 years - way before food writing became fashionable - and is currently a freelance journalist, writing mainly cookery, travel and parenting stories. She lives in the eastern side of Singapore behind an MRT station with her well rooted husband and nine year daughter whom she dotes upon, much to the child's budding preteen embarrassment. When Ee Waun is not working or making the daily school runs up and down the PIE, she enjoys culinary experimentation, home entertaining, reading and running (for some sky above her head). Having recently hit 40, she is determined to live exuberantly, meaningfully and with a sense of humour. As such, she is now attempting to inline skate, pick up serious cycling and DO Something about her wardrobe.

Just Simply Fabulicious!

Life starts at 30. And it gets even better at 40. Those who have hit the milestone know what we are talking about. It's finally a coming of age where we feel assured of who we are, and what we are. No more teenage angst, no more 20-something uncertainty and struggle to be taken seriously. We've finally reached there - Birkin bag on arm or not. 

Comfy enough to live life without excuses, roll with the punches only to spring up and take it by the horns, forgive ourselves more often, love the people around us wholly and selflessly, treat ourselves to our just desserts occasionally, and fling ourselves exuberantly, boldly, daringly at life! 

The 40s is the new 30s, and the Older Woman is at her prime. Yet I am sure we don't feel a day older than 18. Wiser, yes. More sophisticated - definitely! But not a day older, darling! 

And that's what the spirit of Simply Fabulicious is all about. It's all about celebrating life at our prime - from family and fashion to food and friendships. 

Simply Fabulicious looks like a blog but it isn't. Simply Fabulicious is a what we call a "blogazine" where you can get short, snappy reads that relate to you, but in a blog structure. Expect to see snappy, well-written articles based on proper news values, tips, and updates on what's out there in Singapore and even beyond - shopping, promotions, food, best kept secrets, sales, travel and so much more. And we will only pick the good stuff for you. We've got cheeky sections like boudoir, breakaways, babies, bucks etc... We'll occasionally have guest writers to give us different perspectives, and plans are afoot for dinky little contests and giveaways so there's real candy for you, too. 

So, welcome to SIMPLY FABULICIOUS! This is our gift to you, to your friends and all the Simply Fabulicious Women out there. It's not about age. It's about the Coming of Age. It's about attitude. A happy mindset, a strong spirit, a sense of humour, a positive perspective. It's about embracing life and all it has to offer.
