If you have nothing planned this weekend, here's something perfect for a night out with the girls. Catch the movie ‘Coco Before Chanel’ at The Screening Room (today and tomorrow – 26 & 27 March), and get treated to a cosy evening at a dinner-theatre setting.
Dinner is served in the restaurant at the first floor of the Screening Room. Expect serious gourmet food by Chef-owner Samia Ahad (who also owns the Coriander Leaf) – nothing like the so-called dinner experiences at the large cinemas around town where, I am told, the food essentially sucks. On the menu are prawn bouillabaisse, duck confit , chocolate fondant….Yums!
After that, bring your drinks and head upstairs to the intimate cinema where you settle into plush chairs, nibble at away at nice munchies and drinky poos, and enjoy the movie with friends. (Movie tickets at $20 nett each. Dinner menu, add $55++ per person. Movie Screening at 9:15pm.)
