It’s National Day round the corner, and I’m heading off next Saturday to catch of glimpse of the fireworks! Time to bring out the red and white t-shirt and shorts ensemble, get the kid a Giordano national day T-shirt and wave the little plastic flag from the hotel room balcony! Such excitement! And of course, it’s a perfect excuse to imbibe in some bubbly along the way. After all, despite the recent floods, the education system that strangles all notions of childhood, and the roller coaster ride at Universal Studios that refuses to start, Singapore is still a good place to live.
